has anybody else experienced that?
I noticed it in real-time simulgear games.
Any particular game or is it all games?

I played a few real time games on micro mission simulgear and TWII last night. It happened in every game.
Sometimes the reset happened as I got a 'your turn' pop up notice. But that might be completely coincidental.
this really happens consistently now. on a complicated board with a 50 unit bonus it can really throw you off, if the placement resets while you're pondering your attacks.
any idea what causes this yet?
I'll see if I can reproduce it and work out what's going on.
I noticed that in simul gear as well (A&A and Muster). If I already have the board open when a new turn starts I hit refresh before I play and that takes care of it.
I can't reproduce this so far.
The sequence of events would normally be:
1. Submit orders
2. Wait until other player submits orders
3. When other player(s) submit orders, the round is executed. When this is complete a 'Your Turn' notification is sent to each Player which will initiate a refresh of the Native / Flash player. This will reset all unit placements etc.
4. Player submits new orders.
From your description above it sounds like the 'Your Turn' notification is coming in after you have already starting putting together your orders for the next round - this doesn't make sense as it is not yet your turn.
Are you manually clicking on the refresh button to force a check for a new round being started? If not I don't see how you can be submitting orders for a new round when it is not yet your turn.

are you referring to me or itsnot?
What I noticed is the following. In the following sequence: open up simulgear game, place units, switch to attack, assign attack orders; while I assign orders, sometimes the placements reset to zero while the attacks I have issued so far stay in place. So I have to go back and do the placements again. No data has been sent to the server yet. It could be a js error or a refresh signal from the server.
But I haven't noticed a clear pattern yet.
Just brainstorming to help you reproduce it: When one player submits his orders, could that somehow trigger the placement reset if another player has the native player open at that time?
Ok thanks that helps. In that case it sounds like a js bug somewhere which is causing the player to reset.
I've noticed the same thing. I can tell you that it seems to happen when player 1 commits his orders and player 2 is still deciding, then player 2 gets his unit placement reset. Not sure if that was clear or not.
A side note though, if you're turning in a set that turn you have to clear trades and then re-trade the set or you'll have a negative unit placement.
I think I've got to the bottom of this one - it should be fixed now.
Cool. Thanks Tom.
Cool! Thanks! What was it?
It was the order submission of other players that was causing a player refresh to take place.
