In response to the outstanding issues with uploading board images using the Designer for Mac users I've created a separate upload page outside of the Designer.
You can access this from the http://www.wargear.net/boards/myboards page by right clicking on 'Actions' and selecting 'Upload'. For scenarios there is a separate upload link. Note you can only upload scenario images where Images are unlocked.

Tom, I just realized I can't upload card images.. Any chance there can be a similar non-flash based way to get them uploaded as well?

Thanks. I'm getting by, but it'll will be appreciated when you get to it. For now, I just have to lug out the old Laptop PC ..wait three hours for it to boot ..and then another hour for the browser to load, ..etc.

Come to think of it, my father gave it to me when he upgraded, and that was 2 or 3 years ago, so it could be pretty old.
