Is there a way to invite players to an open game? Want to invite players, but don't want it to be private. Thx.

Not directly, you could post the link on the player's profile and have them join it, but currently no way to save seats or invite to public games.

BAO alternative:..nor should you be allowed to 'save' seats. i.e., saving all seats effectively makes it a private game.

not saving no, but if i wanted an open game and extend you and yertle; specifically, the honor to play with me...would be a nice to have. it wouldn't mean it wasn't also open to the public such that if it filled before either of you were able to join.
But I can change,

It could work similarly to the Public tournaments - you can invite players but it has no real effect other than alerting them that the game is open to join.

I think it would be cool also. But I don't think it should be displayed anywhere that people were invited - I know I would shy away from joining a game with 2 open spots and seeing that 2 people were invited
