tom,
I used to be able to add a border to a map and the Dev Mode games would reflect this. I know you tried to change some things so that we had to reversion to update Live maps. Is the lack up dynamic updating to Dev Mode games intentional or a side effect (or unrelated)? I really, really liked that feature.
I second that. I know that it's been helpful to me to make updates in dev games and receive instant feedback on those changes from the testers. For a game I'm playing on one of Risky's boards, it's been useful to see his graphics updates, as well, as he's working to respond to our in-game comments.
You're saying you can't update them Cram? Risky has update some (and a few others too) items in the middle of a game and it's been reflected. And I thought this was recent (today/yesterday).
I can't as of today.
Figured out what's going on.
The map in question was once promoted to Live status (just for a few minutes so I could test something), then retired, copied, and reversioned. Even though the new version is in Dev Mode, the board is flagged as Live.
I did it today in a Dev game, not a review game.
If the board status is Dev or Submitted then you should still be able to make updates regardless of whether it was once Live... if it's still not working, can you let me know the boardid (you can get this from the end of the URL when you're in the Designer)

Let me know what you find out. In the designer I've added a border between Congo and Sub-Sahara as well as deleting an errant border between Morocco and Israel. In the game, those changes are not reflected.
Hmm well the reason is the game is playing off board id 249 (status: Retired) while you have made your changes in board id 265 (status: Dev). Hence the changes in the Designer are not being reflected in the game.
In this case there's no way you can actively change borders (or anything else) in a game that is running off a Live board, even if you retire the board. I think this is the correct / preferred behavior to be honest.
ps love the board design!
