I'm playing a fog version now (not full fog, but enough that I don't know the army counts unless I'm next to them), and I see how that is helpful for strategy. I'm a bit frustrated that every really big game I join ends up having almost half the players booted, because I have the feeling this could be a lot of fun with a lot of players. A good game. Able to come back from a pretty lousy start so long as you survive long enough.
Fun board but Oatworm is correct in that it is much better when you play with fog. Very important to understand the way bonuses work to determine which territories are best for you to target.
Nice board. Good for fun, long games!
Gets annoying without fog, because of the huge number of troops invloved.
An awesome place for strategy and also for a huge number of players, in teams or individual.
Peace!
Without fog, this map is a slog. More often than not, it just turns into a giant stalemate until card bonuses get big enough to break it.
With fog, however, this map is a blast. You can definitely have a lot of fun with unit placement and strategy on this board. Gameplay is straightforward - Risk rules, no modifications. Plenty of bonuses for everyone. Plenty of chokepoints and blind corners to take advantage of, too.
