The best plus one card scale game I know of.......with certain territories not in view it's hard to know everything that's going on...this allows for sneaky stuff to happen.....I think the board plays best with max players.....trust your gut feelings....
Ditto to M57's post. One thing I noticed though is it's easy to hide and turtle somewhere. I can't count the times I thought I was about to take someone out and they still got one left hidden in a tower top somewhere.
Very good map. Some of the towers seem like a bit of a waste, though, because they are surrounded by other towers and don't provide any sort of view worth anything. The only other thing I would say is that it is a bit annoying when trying to sweep through large areas of territory on the left side--say after a set is cashed in--because one can only attack out from the first/bottom level of the tower
Nice looking board. It's just a strange layout with little in the way of choke-points (except for all the towers, which are kind of inverted choke-points). The value of the extra view seems somewhat wasted when all the towers are next to each other. I'd rather see them scattered a bit more randomly.
Only played it once so far, and would like to get a better grasp on the gameplay. The board looks fantastic. Play seems very balanced and interesting. the towers provide just enough variation that the board has an original feel to it. well done!
There are lots of ways to strategize a win on this one.
Plays a little better with some fog.
