Fast-paced board. I bit less variation in play than I'd like, otherwise it's a good board for avoiding strategic stalemates. Although they can happen they appear to have low frequency.
Sometimes hard to read troop counts sometimes, but it's a great fun fast paced board with more complexity of strategy than it's simplicity initially reveals!
Interesting hordes map, after playing a number of games, I'm getting the hang of it, but I feel a lot depends on initial setup and where you are in the order of players. Maybe I'll change my mind on this with some more games
Very nice, deceptively difficult. Requires a very gentle touch to emerge as the winner. Great with different fog levels; I've played with 3, 5 and 6 players and they've all been very stimulating games.
Good board, attack direction is a little difficult to distinguish sometimes, which can make a big difference in the game. Graphics are fine. It makes for a great 3 player game though, lots of fun!
This board does a good job of giving you the "race" feel that it is going for. A different card scale might help to prevent the extended stalemates that can occur.
Though the board redefines the boundaries of "graphical subtlety" (Can we get a black and white version so it's even plainer?), don't let its looks fool you - this is not a board you can sleepwalk through. Though stalemates can and do happen, they clear up quickly enough to keep things moving.
