There is an alful lot going on with this board. After you play the game a few times, you get the hang of it and can come up with a lot of moves to potentially outplay your opponent.
Most of the bonuses never seem to come into play in the games I have been in. There is a lot of thought that goes into what to use your 3 attacks on, how much to keep in your capital, and when and how far to progress towards your opponent's capital.
Early bad luck can be devastating, but not terminal - I've been able to rebound from bad luck more than once.
It's an interesting and quirky board - this is definitely not something you play without reading through the rules a few times and, hopefully, finding an old game to watch through the history viewer. It's a lot of fun once you get the hang of it, though.
The rules are clearly indicated in the "Board Description" section, where rules belong. This is a quick 2 player game, and I mean QUICK. There is little room for false moves. Good, fun game, watch some old games before you play.
CBA seems to be a good solid board. Try and grab a bonus and get to the other side while managing your attacks and defense. Quick gameplay that seems to be balanced. Nice concept and nicely executed!
