This is a great Hordes game, with lots of interesting ways to get, keep and take away bonuses. I like the visuals, and it's easy to learn and practice on! Bricks are a great idea!
Not a huge fan, but i've only played it once, so maybe i'll edit eventually. I like the mod of hordes that's been done, but a brick wall is not the most interesting theme. Graphics are so-so, i like the texture to the bricks. Gameplay was pretty good, i liked the speed of the game. Nothing too exciting though. Not a bad map by any mean, i just didn't see anything praiseworthy.
A good board, with nice use of Hordes, and some modifiers. Some fog is good too. Just wish that the middle was more of a legitimate place to play/consolidate. Lots of borders there, so you really have to work on consolidating on the edges, limits the # of players that can effectively play. Best for 4-5.
This is excellent hordes map. The games I have played have all been fun and depending on which corner of the map you start, you have a different strategy that tends toward victory. Be careful to spread to thin and someone will surely cut you down.
Black is a bad color for this map. Twice I have gone for an elimination of black and failed to see one territory that was covered by the "break-out" in the wall. This should now be okay with the player territory selection feature.
I love the hordes! style, and ABITW uses it perfectly. This was a map that was out for a while, I never played, then kicked myself for not playing it sooner. Bonuses grow quickly and can be torn down just as fast. I played a game with a good group (designer included), I was on the verge of elimination, and came all the way back to win. A couple more games and I was completely convinced, that ABITW answers, affirmatively, the all-encompassing question: "Is it fun?"
ABITW is loads of fun.
Footnote: Black SHOULD NOT be color for this map. There was a player ninja'd beside the center break in the wall that I couldn't find- although I could see he still had 1 territory- cost me an elimination, and gave me a headache.
