Board Description

Basic Idea

The goal of this board is to build a continuous path of territories from one side of the board to the other.

On each turn you are allowed to fill in either two of the square territories or one of the half-octagon territories. Once a territory is filled in, it cannot change hands.

WarGear Adaptions

To make this board work in WarGear the following rules were put in place:

Initial Set-Up

Each player begins with 500 units which they use to capture territories. They also begin with a capital territory with 1 unit and a territory before that capital with 37 units. These two territories are used to end the game. The 2nd player also begins with the middle square territory.

Taking Territories

Each turn a player has two attacks. If a player wishes to take two squares then they attack from theiir units to each square in turn. If a player wishes to take a half-octagon they must first attack the neutral territory next to their units, and from there one of the half-octagons. (Note: There are D1VD0 borders to this territory, so you should not leave a unit there.)

Each square and half-octagon territory has a maximum of one unit. The attack borders to them are D1vD1, so you cannot take a territory your opponent has. There are no attack borders from those territories, so you cannot move/use any units once they are on the board.

Winning the Game

Once you have completed a continuous path of territories across the board you can fortify all of your remaining units across. You can then use a T attack to capture your opponent's territory guarding their capital, and then capture their capital.

Special Surrender Option

You can surrender the game without using the official WarGear Surrender option. To do this fortify all of your units from the territory guarding your capital. Your opponent will then be able to end the game next round by taking your capital.
